The Governor of Abia State (Okezie Ikpeazu) has opened up on the 17th September 2017 military invasion of Afaraukwu Ibeku country home of Nnamdi Kanu. Ikpeazu denied having any pre-information of the infamous raid.
Ikpeazu further said that he was not told that anything like that (invasion) was going to happen. He further revealed that he only saw the GOC who was at Enugu that time, the GOC showed up in his office and told him that he has order from above to arrest Nnamdi Kanu and he tried to help him to making easier without blood shed by using a traditional ruler to inform Kalu to come for a meeting in his office but kalu refused alleging that his house was already under siege.
He further alleged that he was surprised that Nigeria government could do that without carrying him along and was also disappointed on learning on the pages of some newspapers that scores of armless IPOB members were murdered in cold blood in a state he oversees as a chief security officer without his knowledge.
