Today being 18 April 2022, Mr . KELECHI amako who is our correspondent in charge of Imo state revealed to our news desk that he decided to have an on-spot facility tour of the Imo broadcasting Cooperation(IBC) owerri to ascertain the reason the station has been engrossed in incessant offline most time he is listening to some of their interesting programs on their FM radio.
His discoveries showed that since the coming of Gov. Hope Uzodinma as the Imo state Governor, he never looked on their way at all. In fact mr. Kelechi confirmed that he witnessed a very bad scenario by himself when NEPA seized power and it took up to two hours for NEPA to return power before the station could up on air again because their two generators weren’t working after the generator operator tried so many times to start them without success and that made Kelechi to carry more investigation and a staff of IBC who pleaded anonymity confirmed that Gov. Hope Uzodinma does care about the station at all unlike other Governors before who tried their best to see the station is functional before his coming onboard and that’s the reason the station is functioning below capacity because their generators and transmitters have all gone bad and if nothing is done urgently by the government, the station will stop transmitting to Imolites who are lovers of IBC programs.
The staff also pleaded that the Igbo thunder bolt online media should try and use our media to reach out to the Governor to fully and sincerely come to their rescue as IBC is seriously bleeding due to some dilapidated equipment and infrastructures.
On the above, the Igbo thunderbolt plead with the Imo State amiable Governor to work hard to revive and rebrand IBC because it is the Imo people’s premier radio with wider and efficient outreach.
Pls share this till it gets to the IMO STATE GOVERNOR as God will bless you as you share
