Those celebrating the arrest of MAZI NNAMDI KANU should beware of the implications of such celebrations. It is quite unfortunate that the federal government is leaving the content and chasing the container. The Arrest of MAZI NNAMDI KANU cannot solve the problems of insecurity in Nigeria until the federal government decides to rule the entire people of the country with sincerity of purpose. Sometimes, I wonder if the President Buhari’s handlers are aware that they suppose to be running a democratic nation and not an autocratic one. No amount of illegality will begat legality. There are many versions of news all over the place about the where, the how and the when NNAMDI KANU was arrested, but the one that makes a little bit sense is that he was abducted in Kenya, sedated and bundled into Nigeria in a chattered flight(what a huge expense by a wonderful Nigeria Government in chasing a container!). With this, one may be tempted to ask some pertinent questions like: 1. Did the federal government follow the due process of foreign extradition or was it done in a commando force and way? 2. If it is in a commando force and way, is it legally justified? 3. What do they want the world and people of good conscience to say about our nation? . 5. Now that they have arrested MAZI NNAMDI KANU, have they taken adequate audit of the issues he raised? 6. If they want to kill agitators in Nigeria, are they also willing to address the issues raised by the agitators?
The truth should be told that today, Nigeria is in a cross road.
NNAMDI represents different things to different people all over the world which means that the federal government should be extremely careful in handling his matter because the world and the Igbo in general are keenly watching them. He should be given fair treatment and fair hearing because He has succeeded in raising pertinent issues bothering on the ill treatment of the Igbos and other minorities in Nigeria, Igbo people; a people highly patriotic and industrious but clandestinely relegated to the background in the scheme of things in Nigeria.
Now that the federal government is asking for accelerated hearing on NNAMDI KANU’s case, we urge them to also setup a justice panel to address the issues he raised bothering on the marginalization of his people (NDIGBO) so that the world will see that they are out to chase the content rather than chasing and hitting the container left, right and corner.
listening the this video of Governor Ortom of BENUE state on how the same government shielding known terrorist group and their leaders are very busy chasing, humiliating and parading a world acclaimed freedom fighter who lost his parents and almost lost his own life in a python dance of the federal government all in a bid of liberating his people from bondage portends danger in a democratic system of government.
I wish everyone could watch this video of Governor Ortom to make up his mind on what has befallen us in this nation.
finally and sadly, I want ask; are we in a democracy or DEMO-CRAZY?. (Fella-beration loading…)
