Wonders Shall Never End as the Nigeria Police is now code named the dare devils and the Enemies of the Nigerian Bar Association and the General Public as they Arrest, Lock up NBA Chairman, 6 Officers who went to bail member arrested in lieu of absconded Client

There was bizarre drama in Orlu, Imo State When seven lawyers that went to bail their colleague from Police custody was arrested and locked up by the police.

According to a Social Media post by Chimeremeze Philip, The detained lawyer was arrested in lieu of his client who absconded.

Upon learning about the detention of there member, Seven officers of the NBA, orlu Branch, including the chairman, Barrister Celestine Agbordike, Went to the police station to get him out on bail but in a dramatic twist, the policemen from Abuja arrested all of them and locked them up.

They are currently being detained at anti-kidnapping section of the Police in Owerri. According to a report by a lawyer and chairman NBA Mbaise Branch, Elder Okey Njoku.

“The seven NBA officers went in search of their colleague who was earlier arrested. It is not clear what the offense of the client was” the report said

Lawyers and social media have condemned the Brazen intimidation and harassment by policemen.

Speaking on the issue a lawyer, Jideofor Chinwuba Esq. said,

“This is one of the reasons I don’t pity policemen whenever they are attacked or killed, how can human beings behaved this way?”

Another Lawyer, Egbenebu Kevin Esq. Stated

“Police Will never change, always brutalizing and antagonizing lawyers, without applying same to their tormentors”

Another Lawyer, Obia Sunday Esq. Said,

“This is a shame to the justice system of this country. I weep whenever I see things like this. This is the height of it all.”

The arrested NBA officers are currently being detained in Owerri,Imo State Capital.
